4. What is the most important thing you
gained from this experience? Why?
The most
important thing I gained from this experience was going inside the rooms with
the doctor and seeing her patients. I saw how she would make sure she answered
every question the patient’s parent had. Dr. Chen walked into the rooms
remembering every patient. She had a nice connection towards every kid. I
learned from this that in order to become a Pediatrician you have to be kind
with children and make them feel as if you’re their friend.

My senior project
topic is going to be on Pediatrics. I’ve always wanted to become a Pediatrician.
I did my summer mentorship in the same clinic I did my community service hours.
I enjoy volunteering at Sunshine Pediatrics. I gain so much experience from the
medical assistants and the doctors. Volunteering there makes me more excited on
becoming a Pediatrician.
